Summer School for snooker coaching at the Terry Griffiths Matchroom

Terry Griffiths with Matchroom Player of Distinction, Jamie Clarke

For the first time in the Matchroom's 20 year history, Terry Griffiths is introducing a Matchroom Summer School for all age groups and abilities.

This excellent opportunity to enjoy top level coaching at one of the best clubs in the country will be open to all members and visitors.

The training weeks will run for only 3 weeks as a trial for this year. There will only be 8 places available for each week and these will be secured on a first come, first served basis (a deposit of £100 will be required to secure a place).

Helping Terry to run the course will be his son, WBSA, EBSA and WSA coach, Wayne Griffiths. The course will run from Monday - Friday inclusive.

Wayne, under Terry's guidance, will be offering the following to students:

  • summary assessments of each player;
  • group coaching on generic technical areas;
  • one to one coaching on specific technical areas;
  • video analysis (where required);
  • practice routine competitions;
  • guidance in getting the best from your practice sessions;
  • guidance on the benefits of objective setting and record keeping;
  • mental tips to improve your game;
  • competitions against the other players on the course.

The summer school will finish with an overall handicap knockout competition with prizes for top finishers.

The icing on the cake for our summer school entrants will be access to one of the World's top snooker Coaches.

Terry Griffiths will be involved through the week and will give a seminar on mental tips for competitive snooker. Terry will also offer some one on one guidance (where required) to each of the attendees. He will also be available for a Q&A session during each of the summer school weeks.
