Snooker Summer School at the Matchroom
For the first time in the Matchroom's 20 year history, Terry Griffiths is introducing a Matchroom Summer School for under 18s. This excellent opportunity to enjoy top level coaching at one of the best clubs in the country will be open to all junior visitors and members.
To be eligible for this year's summer school you must be under 18 on 1st August, 2007. The school will run for only 2 weeks as a trial for this year. There will only be 12 places available for each week and these will be secured on a first come, first served basis (a deposit of £100 will be required to secure a place).
Helping Terry to run the course will be WBSA, EBSA and WSA coach, Wayne Griffiths. The course will will run from Monday - Friday inclusive.
Wayne, under Terry's guidance, will be offering the following to all students:
- summary assessments of each player;
- group coaching;
- one to one coaching;
- video analysis (where required);
- competitive practice routines;
- guidance on the benefits of objective setting and record keeping;
- competitions against the other players.
The summer school will finish with an overall handicap knockout competition with prizes for top finishers.
The icing on the cake for our summer school entrants will be access to one of the World's top snooker Coaches.
Terry Griffiths will give a seminar on mental tips for competitive snooker and will offer some one on one guidance (where required) to each of the 12 attendees. He will also be available for a Q&A session during each of the summer school weeks.
