Special Offers now available at the Matchroom

A PACKAGE of special offers is being introduced at The Matchroom. New rates for students, school children and senior citizens are being launched along with late night specials and the chance of ‘buy one hour get one free’ offers.

A loyalty scheme is also being brought in to reward regular players and top prizes will be up for grabs in a new ‘Member of the Month’ promotion. The move follows a new membership system at the club. Credit card style members’ cards complete with photographs are being handed out, which can be read by a hi-tech computerised till. It means that staff can identify the club’s most regular users and reward them for their loyalty.

Club Manager Wayne Griffiths said:  “We have worked out a package of offers and prizes for members.

“The top five per cent of spenders of over a chosen figure per month will get discount vouchers for their loyalty worth 50 per cent off their next session. Those outside the top five per cent but within the top 10 per cent will get vouchers for 25 per cent off their next session. The offers will run for a trial period and may then be replaced or joined by other special offers.

“We will also be running a new Member of the Month reward scheme and the member with the greatest spend over a calendar month will win a prize. They could include tickets to upcoming exhibition matches, tickets to professional tournaments, free play vouchers or cue accessory vouchers.”

Once every year, the twelve ‘member of the month’ winners will be entered in to a draw for tickets for the World Championships at Sheffield. This prize will also include one night’s accommodation, a contribution toward travel expenses, tickets for at least two sessions of play at the Crucible and back stage passes (subject to availability).

• Student rates of £3.60 per hour Monday to Friday before 6 p.m.
• Senior citizen rates of £3.60 per hour (one free mug of tea/coffee included) – Monday – Friday before 6 p.m.
• After school rates (children under 16 years of age only) - £3.60 per hour – Monday – Friday 3:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.
• Late night special – Monday – Thursday, 9 p.m. – 10 p.m. 10% off and 10 p.m. – 11 p.m. 25 per cent off (suspended until further notice)
• Play all day for £10 – noon – 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (tables 4, 5, 6 & 7 only)
• Mad Monday – play for two hours and get two hours free (all day - tables 1 – 10 only)
• Terrific Tuesday – play for two hours and get one hour free (all day - tables 1 – 10 only)
