Matchroom Links with local schools
The Matchroom has played host to Year 6 from Swiss Valley School as part of the continued development of the Snooker in Schools Programme.
The pupils had a tour of the club, including a chance to have a game on the tables, but the highlight of their visit was a display of Trick shots from the former World Trick Shots Champion Terry Griffiths.

Pupils became willing, if nervous, participants in some of Terry's tricks and the audience cheered loudly balls bounced into baskets, chased each other round the table up and down cues and Terry even used a coin as a cue ball to pot a ball.
The pupils were anxious to get home to tell their families all about their exciting trip and the parents will be contacted by the Matchroom and 12 pupils will get the chance to attend the first of the Terry Griffiths Matchroom After-School Clubs.
The Snooker in Schools initiative is being developed by the Matchroom in conjunction with the Carmarthenshire County Council Leisure and Recreation Department and more schools will be invited to join the project in the near future.
Any pupil, parent or school who would like more information about the Terry Griffiths Matchroom Snooker in Schools Scheme and the Matchroom Junior Snooker Club, is invited to ring Wayne Griffiths on 01554 774494 for further information.
