Schools Visit Terry's Matchroom

The Matchroom has played host to Year 6 from Swiss Valley School as part of the continued development of the Snooker in Schools Programme. The pupils had a tour of the club, including a chance to have a game on the tables, but the highlight of their visit was a display of Trick shots from the former World Trick Shots Champion Terry Griffiths.

European Coaches attend Matchroom Training

PLAYERS from across the world are coming to the Matchroom for coaching. A centre of excellence for the continent has been set up at the Llanelli snooker centre. The Matchroom is the first centre of excellence to be launched by the European Billiards and Snooker Association.

Jamie Clarke Wins Welsh Title at First Attempt

Eleven year old Clark has been honing his skills on the Matchroom Young Player of Distinction Scheme, and has already won several Junior handicap events in the club. But this was the first time he ventured into national competition and he was reward with a 3-2 win against Cwmbran's Jak Jones in the final.

Jamie wins Pontins Title

Matchroom junior Jamie Clarke became the club's first winner of the coveted Pontins Star of the future competition in February, 2006. The winner of this competition is often tipped to go on to great things in snooker and we are hoping this will be the case for Jamie.
